Hon. Prime Minister takes over as Minister of Tourism

The Hon Prime Minister, Fiame Naomi Mata’afa is returning as Minister of Tourism which she confirmed during her public announcement on Wednesday, September 6th.

The new appointment comes after Cabinet’s internal reshuffling of Ministerial portfolios that also saw two new Cabinet Ministers added, as prescribed by the constitution, to strengthen government decision-making, according to the Prime Minister.

“Now is the time to review what we have been able to accomplish and to look to the future in the second half of the term that we are now proceeding,” Mata’afa.

The new appointments are in transition and will go into effect on October 1st.
