Social Media Marketing Training Wrap-up
Knowledge and skills required in the strategic and operational planning, creation and execution of content for social media marketing are key take-outs for tourism industry workers who participated in the recently completed 6-week Social Media Marketing Training.
The development initiative was implemented in partnership with EMD and supported through the Samoa Tourism Growth Partnership with the assistance of the New Zealand Government.
A total of 80 employees from hotels, attraction sites, car rentals, travel agencies and tour operators participated in the training which was held at 3 locations each on Upolu and Savaii.
With the Pandemic and subsequent downturn in business activity, digital marketing has become an increasingly important and cost-effective tool available to tourism business operators to build and maintain reach and engagement with their respective target audiences.
