Return to Paradise Resort new villas

Despite the downturn caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, popular Return to Paradise Resort on Upolu’s stunning south coast remains upbeat and are adamant to grow as part of its long term vision.

According to General Manager Ramona Su’a Pale, with the absence of international visitors which accounted for over 90% of its guests pre-Covid, it’s had to place the bulk of its team on long-term leave and says that staying open during the Pandemic has not been easy.

While borders continue to remain closed for the safety of the country, the team at Return to Paradise have been busy with improvements to the property being an ongoing focus area.

Among the improvements include upgrading works as well as the construction of seven (7) new Villas. These will add 19 new bedrooms to the Resort which Suá Pale says will be in high demand and create additional job opportunities when international travel restarts. 

Three of the Villas opened in time for the recent Father’s Day weekend during which the resort was fully booked and four are currently under construction. 

The Resort has become a popular getaway for the domestic market with special packages driving demand especially during long weekends.

In addition to construction, works on maintaining and developing the Resort‘s beautiful gardens and landscape have continued to keep the team busy.

Covid-19 vaccination and health and safety training for staff have been completed alongside people-development initiatives targeting personal and professional growth across the Resort’s various departments. 

According to Suá Pale, the overall investment is part and parcel of the Resort’s growth plan, which the owners committed to when it opened 7 years ago.

The General Manager firmly believes the downturn is temporary and is strongly confident in the future of Samoa, the Tourism Industry and the Resort.
