Vaccine roll-out goes door to door
Samoa’s national Covid-19 vaccination programme has expanded with vaccinators and support teams going door-to-door to the community in a mass vaccination drive.
The outreach is part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Health to boost vaccination rates and ensure the protection of Samoa.
The move has been welcomed by villagers outside of Apia and the main vaccination centres.
As of 12th August, 62% of Samoa’s eligible population had received the first dose of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine and 25% had been fully vaccinated.
