Saletoga Sands’ exciting developments

Saletoga Sands

Saletoga Sands Resort has been keeping busy during the lockdown.

Owners Gavin and Lou Brightwell, along with a small team of staff have been doing the best they can to keep the resort in a positive position.

They’ve been busy with general maintenance, landscaping of the lush gardens and redesigning specific areas, new and old building projects using a lot of recycled materials and deep cleaning.

Improvements have been the key focus at Saletoga to ensure the brand is not lost.

The team started by updating all the fronts of the poolside verandas. New canopies have been installed over-top of the decking. This has increased outdoor cover and made it very user friendly for all weather conditions. It's actually given a lot more living space outside as well.

The footpaths have been re whitened and extra fencing around the boundary of the property has been put in to picture frame the beautiful landscaping in certain areas.

All outdoor showers have been retitled and landscaped.

An exciting new addition to the resort is the introduction of the refurbished water slides. These has been very popular with the local market and Saletoga is expecting it to be a great fit for international guests when they return.

New accommodation in the form of 12 Exclusive Villas were finished just as borders closed in 2020. These units are designed for adults only and will provide the perfect island escape for couples wanting privacy, or a group book out for a wedding party or retreat. They have a beautiful modern coastal feel and a stunning outdoor shower. Another 3 villas are being built and when completed, there will be 15 Exclusive Villas in total.

Saletoga has also been busy getting its team prepared with Covid-19 training awareness, health and safety training as well as general up skilling for all departments. Team members have been progressively vaccinated to help ensure their safety and that of guests.

According to Gavin and Lou, ‘the past year has been tough for everyone we know. We're very proud of what we've done here to keep the resort running in tip top condition. We are ready and awaiting the opening of our borders. We are looking forward to welcoming our treasured guests back to the resort and rebuilding strong connections with our guests again soon’.
