Samoa Tourism Australia and NZ Trade Updates

Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) recently hosted a series of face-to-face destination updates in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane to inform key trade and media partners on developments.
The engagements took place on the back of easing restrictions across the key gateways and the main objective was to provide updates on travel-ready preparations, planning for market re-entry and to better understand the trade-environment given the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Representatives who were present received updates from STA’s market-based Sales and Marketing Representatives on the destination travel-ready toolkit which includes operator training and product maintenance, Samoa’s vaccination programme, travel agent portal and Google destination optimisation programme as well as an introduction to the Samoa Travel Guide app.
The Auckland event was attended by representatives from Flight Centre, House of Travel, Edventuretours, Meeting Newz, Travelinc Memo, Air New Zealand, NZ Weddings, IslandTime, Electric Art, Miles Partnership a number of hotel and resort property representatives.

In Sydney, the event was attended by partners representing Island Escapes, Hideaway Holidays, Entire Travel, Hoot Holidays, Expedia, Hotel Beds, Travlr, Local XConnect, Booking.com, Only Luxe Travel, Fiji Airways, Samoa Airways, and Pacific Island Trade & Invest. Trade media included Travel Weekly, Global Travel Media & Wayfarer.

In attendance at the Melbourne event were partners representing Viva Holidays, Helloworld, Fabulous Travel, Backpackers Deals, Webjet, Travel Managers, Express Travel Group, Coconuts Beach Club, Resort and Spa and VFR Media.
The last stop was in Brisbane and there representatives from Flight Centre, Omniche, Ignite Holidays, Fusion, Sina World Travel, Helloworld, Travello, Virgin Australia, and Trip a Deal participated.
Additional engagements targeting other centres are in the pipeline.
