Samoa Tourism Authority upholds Samoa’s presence through Social Media
The Samoa Tourism Authority has embarked on a revitalised Social Media Growth Plan to drive engagement and grow its follower-base. The two-pronged plan will see additional support and investment in the areas of sponsored posts and content strategy.
With ongoing travel restrictions and the opportunity to experience Samoa virtually, social media more than ever has become the key platform through which the maintenance of brand awareness and market engagement can be achieved.
As part of the content strategy, the comprehensive plan incorporates multiple actions which are required to deliver the objectives. These include research, developing new creative assets in partnership with local photographers and videographers, repurposing content, using new Instagram Tools, leveraging existing content for IGTV, targeted Instagram and Facebook Lives, leveraging Ambassadors, Facebook groups, competitions, YouTube and Tik Tok and Design Tools.
The implementation of the new Follower and Engagement Plan has been made possible with the assistance of the Government of New Zealand through the Samoa Tourism Growth Partnership. When completed at the end of June, the plan will be reviewed and the take-outs will feed into the development of the next Social Media Plan.
